Diane Jaquith is an Instructor in Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she also directs the Teaching for Artistic Behavior Summer Teacher Institute. She has been a visual art educator for 30 years, with over 20 years at the elementary level. She is co-author of Engaging Learners through Artmaking: Choice-Based Art Education in the Classroom, co-editor of The Learner-Directed Classroom: Developing Creative Thinking Skills Through Art, co-author of Studio Thinking for Elementary Schools (in-press), and has written numerous articles and a blog,Self-Directed Art: Choice Based Art Education. A co-founder of the Teaching for Artistic Behavior organization, she frequently presents on the topics of choice-based art education, studio thinking, and creativity at regional and national conferences.
